Calvin About a month ago I brought my 2002 Isuzu Rodeo in for a transmission rebuild as the existing one was slipping badly and needed repair. Just want to let you know what a great job you and your team did with my car. I have now had it back for almost 2 weeks and it purrs. Car has more power, is quieter and the shifting bumps that I had always experienced are gone. I barely notice the trans shifting. Thanks again. I am writing to you because of the extraordinary service I received from you. I brought my car in on Tuesday, with a flashing hold light on my Mazda. You examined the problem and explained to me that it was a bad wire. You fixed it, and to my astonishment, there was no charge! Prior to bringing my car to you, I took it to two other places. One diagnosed my problem as a bad sensor and quoted me $1100.00. The other place, a dealer, ran my car through a series of tests and advised me that I should have the whole transmission replaced!

Take a poll on service and transmission repair work, and Hiro’s Transmission is the benchmark for expertise in transmission specialty, and customer friendliness. Every legitimate automotive poll represents core beliefs. Did they do a good job or bad job on your vehicle? Were they friendly or condescending? Do you think they cheated you and you paid too much or do you think they were fair with you? I’m a recent customer (10/2010) with my Honda 2001 LX and I’m totally satisfied with them. They fixed my transmission ($2126 + 1-yr warranty) and eliminated the “check engine light” so I could get a smog check for my tags. Because they were busy, it took approximately 4 days from the usual 2 -3 day repair job, but I’m satisfied and relieved with a piece of mind. So, you can stop looking around. Throw your list away and get in touch with Hiro’s Transmission. Bottom line, researching transmission shops is NOT rocket science. Go to a dealer and get an estimate on your transmission problem. Then, give Hiro’s Transmission a call, speak to Calvin and check them out for yourself. Or, email him and send your concerns. You won’t de disappointed!

This concerns a 2002 Ford Explorer purchased for another person on 12/6/11 from a Ford dealer in Alhambra, CA. At time of purchase Ford dealer was asked to check fluid level and condition (no dipstick on this model Ford) It is a known fact that trans fluid CAN be checked via drain plug insert. Dealer claimed that ONLY way was to drain and refill ($137)This was done and purchase completed. 500 miles later transmission FAILED After several days of searching for a shop near LA and talking to owners I settled on Hiro's Calvin and his "family" have been in business 30 + years. I am an "old timer" with over 60 yrs in the world of vehicle design and repair including elctronic controls. I can only say that I have NEVER ever experienced such thorough expertise, courtesy and friendly communication regarding the discovery of "why" the unit failed and their thorough rebuilding procedures. We dealt "long distance" with this problem including on line payment. The cost was very competitive and the warranty was 2 years instead of the usual 1 year offered by others at an even higher estimated cost. Job was done in 2-1/2 days!!
